Part II: The Reference Community
63. The Reference Community Became a Distillation Engine
1 min read
The reference community did not stop being a community when the Lab appeared.
It became more useful as a community.
The Lab could analyze the standard.
But the reference community could test whether the standard's concepts actually survived real work.
The Steward guided decisions.
The Cockpit showed state.
The Chronicle preserved evolution.
The Cleanup Steward revealed knowledge debt.
Review support revealed human attention limits.
Design work revealed that durable know-how must exist for humans and AI.
AI usage logging revealed that AI capacity must be measured, not only admired.
Every one of these practical tools became a source of evidence.
The reference community had become a loop:
work
-> signal
-> source update
-> decision
-> cockpit
-> chronicle
-> Lab evidence
-> Core proposal
-> standard or Starter Kit update
That loop was the real end of Part II.
The reference community had been created to build AIFC.
Then it became the first community governed by AIFC.
Then it became the first community that could teach AIFC what AIFC was.
That opened the next part.
The question was no longer only:
How do we build the reference community?
The question became:
What object model is the reference community revealing?
